Dear Editor,

Concering the article "Israeli TV star Dudu Topaz found dead in jail", I would like to state my opinion. The article is related to Dudu's career as a television star, and to his unpredictable death. I believe that Dudu didn't have to get suicided and his death is unnecessary.

I want to start with the fact that some people say the media killed him because of the bad publicity. I don't agree with that, and I think Dudu was responsible for himself. I don't believe the solution to the problem was suicide, but placating the punishment. Some people even say he didn't commit the crime, but we can't forget he was an unstable person.

However, I don't think we should remember Dudu as a criminal, because he helped many people he didn’t even know without taking money from them. He gave a lot of opportunities to many unknown artists, who are nowadays extremely popular. Moreover, he reunited families and solved other families' problems.

To conclude, I think Dudu's death could be prevented. He lived for fame, and when he felt it was over, he decided he didn't have a reason to live for. I think Dudu had to reach his punishment and after that get back to his family, instead of killing himself.

Yours truly,

Reut.
